Romans 14:16 "Do not allow what you consider good to be spoken of as evil."

So, today Soulforce protested on our campus and the media misrepresented NCU and Soulforce's rally wasn't much differnt. Today in chapel we just prayed for both students on campus and the freedom rider. I love that we were encouraged to treat the riders as brothers and sisters in Christ not as enemies or protestors. I cut my hair. it is really cute, but I don't want mom to know. I want it to be a surprise, so unless she changes her ways and starts actually reading what her children say she will not know until the fourth of May.

So Last week I had an experience, and I said I will have to blog about that.
yes, it did take a long time for me to finally blog about it. For Spiritual Formations I needed to attend a church from a different tradition than the one I am used to. so I decided I'd go to Solomon's Porch, since I had read about it and now I am living close enough to it to just grab a bus and go there. It was rainy and a bit clod, but not too bad. My friend and I went downtown and waited for a bus. Right there at the stop in the little shelter thing a guy was rolling a joint and the funny thing was it seemed so normal and my friend was so busy trying to fix her umbrella she did not even notice. Alright it might have been tobacco, but I don't thing tobacco is green and comes in a little clear ziploc. So anyway we got on the bus and off too early, walked to church, attended, ate subway, while we waited for the bus, grabbed the bus, transferred. The bus was packed, everyone was damp and yes it smelled. About half way back we picked up these two drunk guys and they sat right behind us and guess what there favorite word is, that's right, f---. They were a tad restless and a really uncomfortable, they complained about the driver going too slow and stopping too long. Then they tried to figure out which stop to get off at they decided on 21st. They were so irritating and complainy I was so tempted to turn around and tell them to shut the f--- up. But I did not, cuz that would be stupid. Well they wobbled off at 23rd and then I said now I have something to blog about.
