Lost Wallet

There is a poster up around campus that says:
Lost Wallet
Reward $$$
555-612-8320
Every time I pass one I think, yes, if you find a wallet there might be $$$$
and if there is not $$$ in the wallet where's the reward $$$ going to come from?

Can I decide to be motivated?

I have to finish. Homework, exams, and of course I will, but right this second I can't seem to find the right attitude or the motivation. I am so angry. I must just be PMSing or depressed of something, it is those stupid end of the semester blues. I am nervous about break. I want home. Where is that? I want my daddy. Okay, now I will just go for a walk, or take a break or maybe I will convince myself I have that motivation, no it is not there. Oh well.

I need to sleep, but I'll blog instead. I went to Zion to start Thanksgiving break and then to Appleton the day of. I ate with My four single aunties, my Aunt Robin's grandma, Robin's brother and his wife and two children. They were a riot.

I have learned an incredible amount of stuff this semester. "stuff" that has helped me understand America. Also, techniques to try to understand the Bible. Mostly, the former, American History. I am just now moving beyond knowing to understanding how young our nation is. And how screwed up it was right off the bat. Straight up, America is simply rebellious. "Let's break off from the nation that has supported us and saved our hides" (yes there were some heave taxes that "justify" the revolution) Not religious freedom, freedom to impose other certain religions. Slavery. I am just begining to scratch the protective cover of the locked book that might help me understand, what on earth they were thinking, enslaving people. As a result of this new understanding of how young the United States of America is and seeing how only 5 generations back we had slavery and a mere 3 the beginning of the civil rights movement, I am realizing racism is not old and dying out, it is a live and evolving creature, that can not be ignored or easily killed. As a united nation of diverse people we have to strategize at how best to hunt down this beast. There I am a naive moron, I am clueless about what to do. But, at least I am beginning to be aware. Also, I am learning why the Native American people, even today are such an oppressed culture. Reality is setting in, I am not in Mayville, where I can deny the fact that racism is still an issue. And the media is not going to let me forget about reality, either.
